Cencora Innomar Personal Health Data Breach Canadian Class Action

Active

CONSUMER LAW GROUP has filed a national class action lawsuit against Cencora and its affiliate partner Innomar Strategies with respect to a significant data security incident culminating in the exfiltration of the personal health information of patients in patient support program and other customers.

Cencora reports that it became aware of a data security incident impacting its information systems on February 21, 2024 and confirmed on April 10, 2024 that the personal health and other information of its patients participating in patient support programs and/or in receipt of other products or services had been exfiltrated and stolen by malignant cyber actors. The data breach impacted Canadian and US patients, and Cencora, formerly known as AmerisourceBergen also submitted a data breach notification to the Office of California’s Attorney General, as required under California law.

On or about June 4, 2024, approximately 13 weeks after the cyber incident, and 7 weeks after having confirmed its occurrence, Cencora sent notification letters to at least some current and former Canadian patients enrolled in patient support programs and other customers to inform them about the cyber incident and that their personal health and other information had been compromised and stolen. Other Canadian Class Members were notified on July 10, 2024.

The personal health and/or personal information impacted by the data breach includes, but is not limited to: patients’ first and last names, address, date of birth, height, weight, telephone number, email address, dates and location of service, past and/or present health diagnosis/condition, past and/or medications/prescriptions, medical record number, patient numbers, health insurance and/or subscriber number, signature, lab results, and medical history.

If you or someone you know are or were a client of Cencora and/or Innomar Strategies and received a notification letter informing you that your personal health and/or other personal information was impacted in the February 21, 2024 data breach, or otherwise believe that your personal health and/or other personal information was impacted, or to be kept advised of the status of the Cencora Innomar Personal Health Data Breach Canadian Class Action litigation or any resulting compensation resulting from the Class Action Lawsuit in Canada, Ontario or Quebec, please provide your contact information to our law firm using the below form.
