---------------------------------------

CONSUMER LAW GROUP has launched a national class action lawsuit against Skechers on behalf of individuals who have purchased the product Shape-Ups Shoes (“Toning Shoes”).

The class action involves the deceptive, misleading, false, and unfair advertising 0f Shape-Ups Shoes’ ability to:

- Get in shape without setting foot in a gym,
- Promote weight loss, tone muscles, and improve posture,
- Tighten abdominal muscles,
- Improve blood circulation,
- Strengthen the back,
- Firm buttocks muscles,
- Tone and firm thigh muscles,
- Firm calf muscles,
- Increase cardiovascular health,
- Reduce stress on knee and ankle joints,
- Relieve muscle tension and fatigue,
- Engage muscles not normally used when walking on hard ground,
- Reduce impact on your joints and lower back,
- Improve your life by changing the way you walk, and
- Improve stamina and metabolism.

In fact, the only independent and reliable scientific study on the subject demonstrated that there is no evidence to support the claims that Toning Shoes will help wearers exercise more intensely, burn more calories or improve muscle strength and tone.

As a result, consumers were induced into purchasing Toning Shoes that do not live up to their promised results, thereby causing them economic damages equal to the purchase price of these products.
