Settlement reached in Class Action for Reebok EasyTone and RunTone shoes and apparel

REEBOK TONING SHOES & APPAREL SETTLEMENT ALERT

On October 18, 2011, Consumer Law Group commenced a class action against Reebok relating to certain statements made regarding “toning” shoes and apparel. The following Reebok brands are the subject of the litigation:
• Shoes: EasyTone, EasyTone Flip, RunTone, TrainTone, JumpTone, SimplyTone and SlimTone
• Apparel: EasyTone Capri, EasyTone Pants, Easytone Shorts, EasyTone Long Bra Top, EasyTone Sleeveless Shirt and EasyTone Short Sleeve Top
On May 7, 2012, the parties reached a proposed national settlement. A copy of the settlement agreement is available here:
On June 8, 2012, the Superior Court of Quebec scheduled a motion for authorization of the action as a class action and approval of the settlement agreement for July 10, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the Montreal Court House located at 1, Notre-Dame St. East, Montreal, Quebec. The Court ordered the following notice regarding that hearing:

On July 10, 2012, the Honourable Mr. Justice Pierre-C. Gagnon, judge of the Superior Court of Quebec approved the settlement agreement and ordered the following notices to be published so that class members could claim compensation under the terms of the settlement agreement:
• Quebec Superior Court Judgment dated July 31, 2012
• Notice of Settlement Approval (English)
• Avis d'approbation de règlement (Français)
